Journal Prompt: We read in these chapters that God ‘uses’ non-believers (in this case enemies of Israel) to carry out His justice, and He also uses ‘non-believers’ to carry out His justice against Israel. Consider what has caused the Lord to carry out His justice – and does this happen today?

Ezekiel 30: The Lord will use Nebachudnezzar to destroy Egypt.

Ezekiel 31:  The Lord uses Assyria as a parallel to what will happen to Pharoah.
