Ezekiel 27:  Tyre is a center of trade and wealth.  They had an army, a fleet of ships and people from all over came to the city.

Ezekiel 28:  Pride led to the King of Tyre’s downfull – he thought of himself as a god.  He grew prideful because of wealth.

Ezekiel 29:  Pride was also the factor that led to Egypt’s downfall. They beliefed they owned the Nile – and they failed to recognize God.
