Journal Prompt: The prayer of Jabez spawned an entire series of books, Bible studies, etc. What is the context of Jabez’ prayer? What is the danger of taking a prayer like this, or a Bible verse, out of context?

1 Chronicles 4: The prayer of Jabez.  The daughter of Pharoah was Bithiah. She was married to Mered.

1 Chronicles 5: Reuben was the firstborn, but because he defiled his father’s couch, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel, so that he could not be enrolled as the oldest son.  The Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh had valiant men who carried shield and sword,
