Colossians 1: What mystery has been revealed to those who believe in Jesus and accept Him as their Savior?

Journal Prompt:  Compare Isaiah 11:2 and Colossians 1:9-11. What similarities do you notice in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon Christ and upon your life?

Answers:

Isaiah 11: The branch that will come from the root of Jesse is Jesus.

The Spirit: wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, fear of the Lord, righteousness, judgment.

Colossians 1:  The mystery to which Paul refers is the fact that once we acknowledge our sins and repent before Jesus, we receive forgiveness and accept Christ as our Savior, Christ dwells in us through the power of the Holy Spirit and we have the assured hope of glory and eternal life.
