Journal Prompt: How does the fact that Jesus was tempted help us when we are tempted?
ANSWERS
Leviticus 1-3: This is pretty gruesome. The person who is presenting the animal for sacrifice is to place his hand on the head of the animal, then slaughter it, then skin it, cut it into pieces and wash the internal organs and the legs with water.
Grain offerings were not to be presented with leaven (yeast) but they were to be anointed with oil and frankincense and they had to have salt.
Hebrews 2: Jesus had to be made like humans in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God and to be able to make atonement for the sins of the people.
