Tuesday 15-Oct-19 Jeremiah 19-20; Ps 119:105-112; Rev 6

Jeremiah 19: What was Jeremiah commanded to do in this verse?

Jeremiah 20: What was the result of Jeremiah’s actions?

Revelation 6: What seemed to be the mission of the riders and their horses?

Journal Prompt: Read Jeremiah 20: has 7-18. Are there times when you have felt like this? Pay special attention to verses 11-13 which are ‘sandwiched in’ between Jeremiah’s complaint. How difficult is it for you to praise God in the midst of your trials?

Answers:

Jeremiah 19: Jeremiah was commanded to take elders and priests to the valley of Ben Hinnom and break  a clay pot to symbolize the destruction that was coming because they had forsaken God.

Jeremiah 20: The chief priest had Jeremiah beaten and put in the stocks.

Revelation 6: White horse: to conquer.  Red horse: to take peace from the earth. Black horse: the rider held a scale indicating prices that reflected a famine.  Black horse: death with power to kill one fourth of the population.
