Numbers 27: What did the daughters of Zelophehad ask Moses? Who did the Lord tell Moses would succeed him and why?

Numbers 28 & 29:  I’m not going to post any questions about the sacrifices required, but I am always a bit overwhelmed by the number of animals that were sacrificed to atone for sin.  You might want to take some time to contemplate that ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made for us.

Luke 8: What is the purpose of the parables? What miracles did Jesus perform? What did he tell those who received the benefit of the miracle?

Journal Prompt:  What do you think Jesus means in Luke 8:18 when He says, “Be careful HOW you listen”?

Answers:

Numbers 27: The daughters of Zelophehad asked Moses for their inheritance.  The Law provided for the inheritance to pass to the sons and in absence of sons, the inheritance would pass to the brothers of the deceased.  Moses ruled that from this point forward, in the absence of sons, the inheritance would pass to the daughters.

The Lord told Moses he would die because of what he did at the waters in Meribah
