Tuesday 26- March Deut 31-32 Ps 37 John 2

Deuteronomy 31: What encouragement does Moses give the Israelites?  (Hint, he repeats it three times in the first eight verses!)  How often was the Law to be read to the Israelites?

Deuteronomy 32: What’s the crux of the song that all of Israel was to learn?

John 2: What is the first sign that John records?  Where did He go after that and with whom?

Journal Prompt: How do you do in encouraging others? What can you learn from Moses’ example?

Answers:

Deuteronomy 31: Moses encourages them by saying “Be strong and courageous. The Lord will not leave you or forsake you.”  The Law was to be read to everyone every seven years at the Feast of the Tabernacles (booths).

Deuteronomy 32:The song basically told them that in spite of the Lord’s provision and blessing, the ISraelites would turn away from God and be faithless which would provoke God’s wrath. But that after that, the Lord would remember them.

John 2: The first sign recorded by John was turing the water into wine at the wedding in Cana. After the wedding they went to Capernaum with Jesus’ mother, His brothers and the disciples and and stayed for a few days.  Then He went to Jerusalem.
