Exodus 22: What crime will God Himself punish?
Exodus 23: What is the Sabbath law concerning the land? What do you think about this? What are the three festivals. What is the role of the angel that God will send ahead of the Israelites? Why did God require that the enemy be driven out completely?
Exodus 24:Who actually wrote down the ten commandments? How long was Moses with God on the mountain? Who else went with him up the mountain?
Ephesians 6: What is the first commandment with a promise? What are the different parts of the armor of God? What specific prayers does Paul ask the Ephesians to pray on his behalf?

ANSWERS
Exodus 22: God will avenge the mistreatment of widows and orphans – He will kill anyone with the sword. (v. 22-24)
Exodus 23: They are to work the land for six years and then do no work on the seventh year. The poor and wild animals may gather the food from it – this includes fields, vineyards and olive groves. I wonder what the people do during that year of rest. The men were to appear before the Lord for the Festival of Unleavened Bread (Passover), the Festival of Harvest and the Festival of Ingathering.
God sent an angel of prepare the way and to drive out the enemies in the Promised Land – IF the Israelites were obedient to God.
God knew that if the enemy remained in the land, they would cause them to sin by worshiping their gods and idols.
Exodus 24: God Himself wrote the ten commandments. (v. 12). Moses and Joshua went up the mountain and waiting six days. On the seventh day, God called Moses to come up the mountain and he remained there for forty days, so he was away from the people for 46 days in all. Joshua must have remained at the lower level.
Ephesians 6: The first commandment with a promise is: Honor your father and your mother – the promise: it may go well with you and you will enjoy long life on earth! The full Armor of God consists of:
- Belt of truth
- Breastplate of righteousness
- Shoes with readiness from the gospel of peace
- shield of faith
- helmet of salvation
- Sword of the Spirit: the Word of God
Paul asks the Ephesians to pray for him to be fearless in declaring the mystery of the gospel.
