Journal Prompt:  Why do you think Paul encourages the believers to not grow weary in doing good?  How can you become weary when serving others?

Answers:

Isaiah 22: God criticizes the Israelites because they did not look to God for help when they were attacked.  (Neither did they fight – they apparently just surrendered (v. 2-3).

2 Thessalonians 3:  Paul warns the believers not to be idle (and just wait for Jesus to return), but to carry on with their work.  He also warns (encourages) them to not grow weary in doing good.
