Don’t Go Away Sad

The rich young ruler showed humility as he approached Jesus wanting the answer to the often asked question: what must we do to obtain eternal life? The rich young man’s assumed that by ‘being good’ he had earned his way to heaven. Yet, “No one is good, not one”, answers Jesus as he challenges the wealthy young man to leave his riches behind and follow Jesus. How attached are we to our possessions? Do we possess them, or do they possess us?
