Pastor Bob Zoba delivers a sermon from Colossians 1:11-20 about living with hearts and minds of gratitude. He cited a statistic that Americans spend more for trash bags than 90 of the world’s 210 countries spend for everything! Our perceived need for material things is astonishing. Rather than be grateful for what we have, we often focus more on complaining about what we do not have. The apostle Paul penned this letter to the Colossians whose central theme is joy while he was in a prison in Rome with relatively no material possessions. Yet he had a heart of joy because of the spiritual blessings that were his in Christ. How much more grateful should be be. Let our attitude this week and every week be one of humble thankfulness to God. What a difference it will make in your life.
