Answers:

Deuteronomy 27: Moses instructed the Israelites to build and altar on Mount Ebal.  “From Mount Ebal six tribes were to stand and on  Mount Gerizim to bless the people: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph and Benjamin.13 And these tribes shall stand on Mount Ebal to pronounce curses: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan and Naphtali.” (v. 12-13)

Deuteronomy 28: If they were to follow God and His law blessings were promised for: their children, their crops, their livestock, their property, their possessions.  They would be protected from their enemies. They would be prosperous in every way.

Luke 24: Two disciples (followers) Simon and Cleopas were walking to Emmaus when they encountered the risen Christ.

Jesus told the aspostles the Holy Spirit would be sent to empower them.
