Saturday, February 2 Exodus 29-30; Psalm 15; Matthew 25

Exodus 29: In verse 21 what actions are necessary for Aaron and his sons to serve the Lord as priests?

Exodus 30: What were the incense and the anointing oil made of and what stipulation did the Lord make about them?

Answers:

Exodus 29: To be consecrated to serve the Lord, the priests must be sprinkled with blood and anointed with oil.

Exodus 30: The annointng oil was made of liquid myrrh, cinnamon, aromatic cane, cassia and a hint of olive oil. The incense was to be made of stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, sweet spices with pure frankincense . They are not to be made or used by anyone except for God.

Matthew 25:  Those who use their ‘talents’ of knowledge and gifts in the kingdom will be given more opportunity to serve God. Those who neglect service to God will not keep what they have and are in danger of the judgment. What they were entrusted with will be given to those who do produced fruit.
