Pastor Parker and Kim returned to Puerto during the summer of 2022. First it was to serve for 9 weeks as “pulpit fill” while the church continued the search for a new pastor. When that time came to a close the leadership asked them to stay on as interim pastor for up to a year. They were thrilled for the opportunity to serve His church and to be back on their beautiful “isla del encanto!” In God’s sovereignty, the church called them to continue as the permanent pastor in January of 2023.
Both Pastor & Kim accepted Christ as young children. They met in their church youth group as teenagers. They’ve been married for 45 years and have four adult children and 9 grandchildren. They also have four “adopted” adult children and 6 “adopted” grandchildren from their years serving in China.
In his free time Pastor enjoys early morning workouts at the gym and swimming. In the evenings to relax he and Kim “chill out” watching a variety of TV shows. They usually take a one week cruise each winter and relax on the Caribbean Sea. In the summers they enjoy visiting their family and friends.
Pastor’s “life verse” is Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” His goal: to finish strong and in victory!
