Monday March 30   Deuteronomy 32-34; Psalm 13; Luke 13

Monday, March 30 Deuteronomy 32-34; Psalm 13: Luke 13

Deuteronomy 32:  Why was Moses prohibited from entering the Promised Land?

Deuteronomy 33 & 34: What did Moses do before dying? Where did Moses die and where was he buried?  Who buried him?

Luke 13: To what does Jesus compare the kingdom of God to?   What miracle does he perform in this chapter?

Journal Prompt: In the parable of the fig tree in verse 6, who do you think the tree represents?

Deuteronomy 32:  Moses was prohibited from entering the Promised Land because he broke faith with the Lord (he was disobedient) when he beat upon the rock to produce water at Meribah and did not uphold the holiness of God.

Deuteronomy 33 & 34: Moses pronounced a blessing on each of the tribes.  He climbed up Mt. Nebo in Moab and that is where he died.  It appears that God buried Moses (or had his angels do it.)

Luke 13:  Jesus compares the kingdom of Heaven to a mustard seed and to yeast; both begin with tiny grains and grow exponentially.  It’s interesting that Jesus also speaks about mustard-seed-sized faith being capable of moving mountains.  Our faith, though seemingly tiny, can grow exponentially if we allow the Spirit to work in our lives.  In chapter 13, Jesus healed a woman who had had a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself.
