2 Kings 24: What happened to the chief priests in Jerusalem?

2 Kings 25: What was the fate of Jehoiachin?

1 Corinthians 2: What do you understand about the Holy Spirit from verses 10-12?

Journal Prompt: 1st Corinthians1:12 tells us that “we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.” What things do you understand that God has freely given to you?

Answers:

2 Kings 24:  Nebachudnezzar killed the chief priests.

2 Kings 25:  Jehoiachin had been exiled to Babylon and put in prison, but Evil-merodach, the son of Nebachuznezzar released him from jail and seems to have befriended him and invited him to d ine with him regularly at his palace.

1 Corinthians 2: We know the Spirit is within us and that we can know the deep things of God through the Spirit.  The Spirit knows our thoughts and it knows the thoughts of God.  It is through the Spirit and through our desire to seek God, that He will reveal Himself to us.
