Journal Prompt: What ‘altar’ do you sense the Lord commanding you to build to remember the mighty acts He has done in your life?
Answers:
Joshua 3: The people crossed first into the Promised Land – the priests carrying the ark of the covenant led the procession, but they stopped in the middle of the river and that God parted just like the Red Sea. Then the Israelites crossed over into the Promised Land.
Joshua 4: The Lord commanded them to send priests back into the river bed to collect twelve stones and to build an altar out of stones as a testimony to the great miracle that they witnessed. “So these stones shall be to the people of Israel a memorial forever.” That place was called Gilgal.
Ecclesiastes 4:1-6: The least oppressed are those who have never been born and witnessed evil.
John 5: The first thing Jesus did was to go to the pool of Bethesda where the sick and lame hung out hoping to be healed. It was the Sabbath. (Are you surprised?)
