Proverbs 15–16; 1 Thessalonians 2:1–3:5
Lots of wisdom in our reading in the Proverbs:
The heart of man plans his way,
but the Lord establishes his steps. 16:9
Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good,
and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord. 16:20
Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians is so tender, sweet, and encouraging . . .especially when compared to his letter to the Galatians. He is so concerned for the church he planted and wants to know that they are continuing in the faith. I sort of feel like Paul with regard to Second Union! I just have such a tender spot in my heart for everyone there, and I want so much for everyone to stay strong and grow in the Lord! Leaving the church has been so challenging for me – my heart is still there!!
But as we say in Puerto Rico: “Pa’lante, pa’ya!” and with our eyes set on Jesus, we will always be going ‘above and beyond’!
