Numbers 15: Who must be cut off from the people of Israel? What is the purpose of the tassels on the corners of the garments of the Israelites.

Journal Prompt:  What is your strategy for ‘putting away’ what is basically the opposite of the ‘fruit of the Spirit’? 

Numbers 15: Those who are guilty of deliberate sin blaspheme the Lord must be cut off.  Those guilty of breaking the Sabbath must be stoned t death.

The tassels on the garments are to remind them of the commands of the Lord. (v. 39)

Numbers 16: The men of Korah, Dathan and Abiram complained that Moses was ‘lording it over them.” The result was that they were killed in an earthquake and by the fire of those offering incense.  Then the others complained that Moses had killed the Lord’s people.  God sent a plague and another 14,700 people died.

Numbers 17: The budding and blossoming (and even producing almonds overnight) was a miracle the Lord produced to show that Aaron and his descendants would be the priests.

Numbers 18:The priests are responsible for the care of the sanctuary and altar – they are the only ones that can have contact with those items as they are holy.  The Levites report to the priests and they are responsible for the care and carrying of all of the tabernacle furnishings.

Colossians 3; But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self[d] with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.
