I hope you all have a happy Sunday. I’m missing my church family this morning, although this amazing opportunity that we have to rest up in Idaho with Bob’s family and experience a breathtaking corner of God’s majesty is priceless. Matthew 11:28-30 We’ve all read this verse so many times. I listened to a Passion City Church sermon this morning, ‘God of the Breakthrough’, about how God typically invites us into ‘the process’. “We have the tendency to say ‘God I need you to work’ and then just sit back and pray and trust that He’ll work’.” (from Louie Giglio) But when I read this verse again this morning, What really speaks to me is the ‘learn from me’ part of this passage. Jesus doesn’t suggest that he takes over – he wants to lighten our burden by sharing the burden, not by taking it over. And part of this process is ‘learning from Jesus.’ What burden are you bearing today that Jesus is asking you to share with Him and to learn from Him in the process? Have a beautiful Sunday and bring honor to His name today!
