Answers:
1 Chronicles 16: The ark was brought to Jerusalem and set up under a tent that David had built. David initiated a system of worship to call upon the Lord, to bring thanks and to praise God with singing and music. “And he left Zadok the priest and his brothers the priests before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place that was at Gibeon.”
1 Chronicles 17: David planned to build a ‘house’ for the Lord. He consulted Nathan, the prophet.
1 Chronicles 18: David was successful as a ‘commander-in-chief’ as he invaded and subdued surrounding nations. David was successful in accumulating wealth and valuables for the treasury of Israel. He also appears to have been a good administrator in appointing capable people to important positions of leadership. David’s sons were his ‘chief officials”.
1 Corinthians 8: Love ‘builds up’ and knowledge ‘puffs up’.
