Numbers 32: The tribes of Reuben and Gad requested Moses to allow them to settle in the area on the other side of the Jordan – this was not part of Canaan. Numbers 33: God warned them, ” But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those of them whom you let remain shall be as barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land where you dwell.: (v. 55)
Luke 9: Jesus commanded the apostles to: ““Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics. And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”
Peter, John and James went with Jesus. When Jesus was transfigured, his face was altered and his clothes became dazzling white.
