Gift of Love
The Annual Christmas Bazaar at Second Union Church is tradition marking the beginning of the Advent Season in the Metro area of San Juan. The first women’s group of Second Union Church established the event almost 50 years ago as a way to raise money and awareness for those in need in Puerto Rico, to support local artisans, and draw in the community.
We carry on that tradition today with the help and support of the church family. The Christmas Bazaar does more than raise awareness and funds, it is also a great expression of our desire to work together as a church family to serve others as Christ commanded.
This year’s theme, “Gift of Love” reminds us that our focus during the holiday season is on Jesus – the greatest gift we could ever imagine. Though Puerto Rico is facing uncertain times, we stand firm in our desire to share this gift and provide hope and light with all. The “Gift of Love” Christmas Bazaar is an opportunity to bring our community together to celebrate the holiday season with music, food, artisanal crafts and prayer. The proceeds raised by the Bazaar will go to provide hope to the hopeless as we fund a variety of different organization in Puerto Rico who are providing for the needs of women and children on the island. Among these organizations is Young Life Puerto Rico, Hogar Ruth, Jovenes Sin Riesgo, CREE, and Young Lives.
Join us for some Christmas cheer and the hope of a wonderful future for all of Puerto Rico.
